This week...
…Caroline is starting to knuckle down to conference planning again!
For the second year in a row, she and Beth Upton are curating the programme for Fundraising Everywhere’s Trusts and Major Donors conference.

Already???
Yep!
We’re channelling our inner ‘highly organised’ people and are making an early start.
We want this conference to be the most practical, actionable training you attend all year.
Which topics would you like us to cover?
Who would you love to hear speaking?
Reply to this email with your ideas - we really want to hear from you.
And if you also want to channel your ‘inner organised person’, you can buy your tickets here.
Today’s article
…is dedicated to anyone who is fundraising and who doesn’t live in London (or another major city).
Local fundaising for the win!
It’s one of the reasons Caroline created our trusts and major gifts courses, having moved from London to rural North Cornwall (where the nearest supermarket was 15 MILES AWAY!) and feeling a big difference in the things she could suddenly attend (once childcare and travel time was factored in).
Not moaning however.
No-one who gets to go to the beach after school is allowed to moan.

It’s why organisations like South West Fundraisers Forum and Fundraising Everywhere are so completely brilliant - they’ve really moved the needle for regional fundraisers, making it so much more easy for them to stay relevant and to keep their learning up to date.
Today’s article (for our paid subscribers) is all about how local charities* can enhance their trust and major gifts fundraising - 5 super tactical tips you can try today. Even if you’re working for a large, national organisation, there are some practical ideas in here for helping you to get to know supporters living in your area.
Please reply to tell us about your own success stories in making local connections with supporters living nearby.
We’d love to hear about the things which are working for you.
Have a great week,
Caroline and Tony
