Agree with what’s been said before… short term if funders could take a hard look at the level of detail they demand vs need / level of grants on offer. and aim to dedupe asking us to supply the same information multiple times that would be an immense help as a starter for ten…
From the outside, it feels as if trusts and foundations could do SO much through a few simple changes. I wonder if in my mind I'm missing some kind of complexity / nuance? I need to chat to more grant makers about this.
Absolutely - thanks Kat. I've been really beating myself up for not having something more tangible to offer, but you're both right of course about long term thinking and needing to keep plugging away at the conversation.
Kat I couldn't agree more! It takes a million fires. We can't just look to the big national bodies who are doing this work. It has to come from every part of the system. And dissatisfaction with the status quo is always how change happens.
